esigner Diane Breckenridge grew up around creative mentors and entrepreneurs: Her father, grandfather and uncle were builders, and she learned about their craft early on, often going on jobs with them.

In the 1980s, Diane pursued her creative passion by working out of her home, initially doing design work for family and friends. She then signed on to her 12-hour days, and collaborating with architects, builders and subcontractors and forming relationships with them that would translate to many more successful future projects.

As the company grew, Diane moved to offices on Gay Avenue in Clayton, where the firm flourished for almost 20 years. It was during this time that Diane and her team established a reputation for their hands-on approach and attention to detail, and in their belief that beautiful, livable design can be affordable.

The design studio eventually outgrew its space, and in late 2008, Diane Breckenridge Interiors moved its offices to a charming, renovated, new location: a 3-level traditional building in Frontenac. In addition to the design studio, the property on South Lindbergh Boulevard had enough room to soon house The Boutique at Breckenridge Interiors and Diane Breckenridge Carriage House Florals, further enhancing the firm’s interior design services.

The Boutique at Breckenridge Interiors features one-of-a-kind hand-painted furniture, as well as lamps, tableware, vases and other hard-to-find accessories and gift items, hand-selected by Diane Breckenridge and her staff from markets in New York, Chicago, Dallas and High Point, N.C. Their finds are displayed in a variety of settings and vignettes throughout the boutique, offering plenty of ideas for anyone in search of an exquisite accent piece for the home, or the perfect shower or wedding gift.

Diane Breckenridge Carriage House Florals has blossomed into the area’s top destination for floral arrangements featuring the freshest quality botanicals from Holland, Israel, New Zealand, Spain, Costa Rica, Ecuador, California and even native grown items from Missouri farmers. The shop also offers containers hand-selected by Breckenridge to complement our beautiful arrangement. Carriage House Florals provides delivery throughout St. Louis, and can customize florals for any occasion, including weddings, banquets and sympathy tributes, in addition to corporate and residential orders.

Together, Diane Breckenridge Interiors, The Boutique and Carriage House Florals have a highly skilled and experienced design and administrative staff working to accommodate and satisfy clients’ needs with a goal of bringing timeless, beautiful and affordable design to any project.
